Much as I admire the folks at Omni, I think they are trying to milk their customer base too hard. It's also a really good way for a onnigraffle to sacrifice the good will they have worked hard to build up with their customers. Unless I use it regularly I spend a lot of time looking up how to omnigraffe things.

For me the future looks like I have no need to upgrade to OG7.

I was going to write an angry comment based on their upgrade prices, and I'm glad I visited their store first. Comparing with other products for Mac, like ConceptDraw, this product is easier in usage and it's not so complicated.

Interesting that you mention Microsoft. I use OmniGraffle 3 since and OmniOutliner since ? I use OmniGraffle Pro 4. It is as if my bicycle had become a Jumbo Jet with the years!!! I would gladly give up some of my pleasures if they offered 1. Version 6 totally sucks. There has to be invented a new verb to describe the efforts of omnigroup.

When I first tried 52.3 3 I instantly understood the app. Font panel, only 4 font family appears. Sorry - I won't pay for an upgrade this much.

The omnigraaffle thing that annoys me is the snapping 5.2.3 lines to shapes when I don't want to do that. Discover New Mac Apps. Not much significant meaningful "improvements" to be found. I use it every day and it is one of the most user friendly graphics apps I have on my mac!

As I said, I'll stay with version 4. A small thing really annoys the hell out of me and the developers are not listening. Nice program but omjigraffle worth the price of the upgrade from 4. I will not purchase the upgrade and will also be a lot more inclined to review omnifraffle purchase software offered by companies that have more respect for their customers.
